Although sumac has been flavouring food for thousands of years, it is a spice with health benefits at the same time. Ada Food’s all of Sumac groups are grown in from Gaziantep, Turkey. It is originally coming from our farms to you. Basically, it is produced from a plant called sumac sour, which grows in completely natural conditions.
Moreover, it is Mediterranean origin tree, up to 10 meters high. It has small leaves and coral red berries. The spices come from the berries. The berries are dried and crushed to form a coarse purple-red powder, the sumac. The flavour is sour, astringent, and acidic.
